Thanks for reading! I absolutely agree, I write a lot about masculinity and providing progress to society and the internal self in order to achieve happiness. Laying on a beach all day in retirement will not result in a happy retirement. I suppose this article hasn't aged well, but I'll link my second inter-related article on my "retirement": https://medium.com/armchair-musings/how-i-failed-at-retiring-68c64981f4d7
At the risk of sounding defensive and a wee bit pretentious, I mention in this article that I am indeed working two new "jobs" for two tech startups (Head of Compliance, and/or Director of Product), albeit solely for equity and not taking a salary. Add on the writing, running my own capital holdings company, traveling, and reading 2 books a week = ironically I'm busier now in retirement than when I was working the full-time corporate job! Hilarious in hindsight!
